Welcome to my blog! I will be using this platform to share insights into academic research on the issue of climate change, specifically its effects on urban, coastal, marginalized and low-income communities.

As Dr. Robert Bullard, a pioneering scholar in the field of climate justice, stated in a 2016 interview, “the populations that contribute least to the problem of climate change are most likely to feel its impacts. Such disproportionality makes it a serious social justice issue.” Bullard started his journey in 1978 and has since done extensive research on climate change, viewing it as both a global and local concern. He urges more people to get involved in the environmental justice initiative, especially those of younger generations: “these are exciting times for young academics to do climate and environmental justice work.”

Bullard’s studies have inspired me to investigate this topic more deeply, and I am excited to share my discoveries on this site.
